I previously used two different products, a moisturising lip balm and, occasionally, a lip balm with SPF. I only used the SPF one occasionally as it wasn't a great lip balm and had a slightly weird aftertaste. Having trialled the LifeJacket lip protector over a few days and weather conditions, it just works really well. Over a few 50+ mile cycles I have encountered temperatures from 2C to 18C and everything from rain to sun. My lips have stayed in great shape. It's not greasy, goes on easily, quickly absorbed and keeps my lips in great shape.

The SPF 50+ Moisturising Lip Protector is designed specifically for everyday lip care. It delivers SPF 50+ UV protection along with deep hydration and repair using shea butter, beeswax, and vitamin E-perfect for preventing chapping, cracking, and dryness.

On the other hand, the SPF 50+ Mineral Sun Stick is first and foremost a sunscreen made from mineral filters (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide). It is made for larger areas of skin, like your face, nose, ears, and neck to create a physical barrier against the sun.

Can I use it year round?

Absolutely. Lips need protection in sun, wind, and cold-this does it all.

Great product
This is my second purchase of this item. Works brilliantly in sunny places (high spf) and also in the English winter - cold winds and air con alike. I have many sensitivities and allergies, but this product triggered none of them !
Sadly the winder on the second one wasn't as good as the first, which has led to a couple of "over applications" but I think it may have been damaged in transit. Going forward, maybe a tiny pice of small bubble packaging would work, but absolutely I will purchase this again. Highly recommended - 10 out of 10 !
