Regular SPF fails at altitude.

Here's what actually happens at altitude.

UV increases 10-12% per 1000m of altitude.

At 2000m, you're getting 20% more UV than at sea level. It adds up fast.

Snow reflects 80% of UV back at you.

Wind accelerates moisture loss from skin. Cold narrows blood vessels, reducing your skin's ability to repair UV damage already done. Together, they leave skin raw, dry, and far less resilient - before you've even factored in the sun.

Chapped lips and windburn sneak up on you.

It happens gradually. A bit of redness here, a sore patch there. By the time you notice your lips are cracked or your cheeks are raw, the damage is already done. Windburn and chapping don't announce themselves - they just accumulate.

Our SPF 50+ stick is a type of sunscreen that comes in a solid, stick form. It offers very high protection against harmful UV rays.

Sunscreen on a stick is convenient, portable and easy to apply, especially on hard-to-reach areas. It’s also less messy and less likely to leak, making it perfect for travel.

Can I use the SPF 50+ sun stick on my face, especially if I have sensitive skin?

Yes, our SPF 50+ sun stick is designed for use on both the face and body.

It’s formulated to be gentle on sensitive skin while providing effective skin protection. Often, people with very sensitive skin find mineral sunscreens don't irritate their skin and this product uses 100% mineral UV filters.

In fact, all of our products are clinically and dermatologically tested and approved for use on sensitive skin and are suitable for all skin types.

Everything an outdoor girl could ask for!
As a fair skinned runner and hiker, I'm always searching for the perfect sun skin care. Something that stays on even during an ultra run in the heat (i sweat a lot!). Both the gel and stick go on slightly white to begin with, which is actually useful so you can make sure you've not missed anywhere! However it soon soaks in with no nasty greasy or stickiness, and no marks on clothes. I've actually been using the stick on my neck as find it so easy to apply at the back of my neck without getting it in my hair!
The daily repair moisture is a new favourite too- so soothing on sun/wind/rain blasted face after a day in the mountains!!!

Changed my opinion using sun protection
Obviously protecting from the sun is important and the use of greasy and uncomfortable products was thought of as a neccessary evil before coming across LifeJacket. I purchased the mountain set for summer cycling trip to the Alps which included long hot days at high elevation in the sun. Not only are the products extremely effective at protecting from the sun, there was no greasy or sticky feeling and no residue left on clothing. Perfect!
