    Great protection

    This shirt is great , and never worried about betting too much sun , 1 star off as it did take on yellow stains from the P20 I use as a sunscreen base , with Lifejacket sunscreen on top , yes belt and braces approach for me. Hope other colours are to follow as this would not stain so bad.

    Long sleeve active T

    Using the size guide I ordered the closest to my measurements. The T arrived in a resealable packet so great for returns if you ordered the wrong size. Fit wise the length, shoulder and chest were spot on however the sleeves are on the short side (I’m 6ft 4) side which was a shame so to avoid it looking like the sleeves from a small were stitched on the wrong top I push the cuffs up my fore arms so it looks like I’ve just rolled the sleeves up a bit, kind of defeats the UV barrier aim of the top but the rest of the fit is good so I’m happy to make that compromise and it shouldn’t be a problem for the negative ape index folks out there.

    It’s been in the sea and the wash a few times and still looks like new

    A great top for post sea swims and on my paddleboard

    I bought this top as I am becoming much more aware of the need to protect my skin. I sea swim daily and also paddleboard so I need the right kit - this ticks all the boxes!

MEET BILLY, JONO AND ROB.

Our story began with personal setback. We were three healthy young men, who thought we were indestructible. But then, several of our friends – all healthy and in their thirties, like us – were hit by cancer. One of them was Jono, our co-founder.

This inspired us to set-up LifeJacket with the single vision of halting the increase in skin cancer - THE world’s most common cancer and, unlike other cancers, one that’s 90% preventable. In the UK, rates have doubled since the 90s and they’re forecast to double again over the next 20 years.

LifeJacket is a positive brand inspiring people who love to be outdoors to use our kit, protect their skin and keep doing what they love. We believe in everyday protection as the best means of achieving long-term skin health and well-being.

Developed and made in the UK with industry experts, our high performance skincare and UPF 50+ apparel is stress-tested by everyday folk (like us), professional athletes, Olympians, military personnel and our team of brand ambassadors.

COMMON QUESTIONS.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to the UK and Channel Islands using a Royal Mail tracked service and internationally using a selection of couriers (DPD, UPS, Fedex).

When will I get my order?

We try to get every order out the same day up until 4pm during the week. From then, please allow 2-3 business days for your order to arrive (UK) or up to 14 working days for international orders.

Who will be delivering my order and is there tracking?

We use a tracked service for nearly all of our deliveries. You will get an email from us when your order has been despatched which will include the tracking details.

What if I'm not in when my order is delivered?

The majority of our products fit through the average letter box. In the event your order doesn't, Royal Mail will leave a card letting you know they tried to deliver and what the next step is (either your order was left in a safe place or it has been returned to your local sorting office where it can either be collected, or a redelivery booked).

I haven't received my order yet, what should I do?

If 3 business days have passed since you placed your order and you still haven't received it, give us a shout and we will get it resolved.

What is the point of UV protection in clothing and are all long sleeve shirts UV protective?

UPF refers to the Ultraviolet Protection Factor which is a  UV rating system that’s used for fabrics, similar to SPF for cosmetics. It indicates how much UV radiation can penetrate the fabric of the top.

A fabric that’s rated UPF 50+ blocks 98% of the sun's rays, offering very high sun protection. UV protective clothing works by absorbing or reflecting the sun's UV radiation, preventing it from reaching your skin.

Long sleeve shirts with UV protection help shield your skin from harmful UV rays, reducing the risk of skin damage, heat stroke and skin cancer.

Not all long sleeve shirts offer UV protection. It depends on the fabric, yarn, weave and treatment used in the shirt's production.

Is this clothing chemically treated to offer UPF protection?

No. All of our clothing offers the UPF50+ protection it does due to the natural properties of the fabrics we use. This means you can wear and wash it over and over again, safe in the knowledge it will continue to keep your skin protected and you comfortable.

Are your long sleeve shirts with UV protection suitable for all outdoor activities including swimming?

Yes, our long sleeve shirts with UV protection are designed for a variety of outdoor activities, from hiking to swimming.

If you’re likely to be sweating or are particularly active, our active tops would suit you best. Our rash vest is ideal when in or by water. If you’re just outside in strong sun and want a more casual look, that’s where our casual tops would be best suited to your needs.

How do your sizes compare to other brands?

We would say our sizing comes up true. This is a more relaxed fit than our other items and is oversized with a dropped shoulder. That shouldn't change the size you order and we would recommend ordering your usual size. If in any doubt check out the size guide towards the top of the page or give us a shout.

Can I return the product if I don't like it?

The last thing we want is for you to be unhappy with your order and any hard feelings. So providing it is returned to us in good/as new condition, we are happy to issue a full refund.

What is the LifeJacket mission?

Our mission is to halt the increase in skin cancer, which has doubled in the past 20 years and is forecast to double again over the next 20. We want everyone to be outside, doing what they love while makingg sure your skin's short and long term health is protected every single day.
