What forms of sun protection are most effective?

The most effective form of protection is shade but that's no way to live life! Avoiding strong sun during peak hours as well as wearing a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen is the best advice for those wanting or needing to be outside.

Which is the best sunscreen to buy?

The best sunscreen to buy is one that you will use over and over again. You have to like and want to use it. The moment it becomes something you don't like, you won't turn to it when you need it the most. For more help, read this.

What is the difference between SPF50 and SPF30?

SPF 30 absorbs 97% of UVB and SPF 50 absorbs 98% of UVB. No sunscreen is able to filter or 'block' 100%. SPF is a rating for the protection against UVB light only. To learn more, read this.

What is the difference between UVA and UVB?

UVB is responsible for sun burn and causes damage to the surface of the skin. It is strongest during summer. UVA penetrates the deeper layers of the skin and its potency doesn't really change throughout the year. UVA represents 95% of UV that reaches earth from the sun while UVB accounts for the balance. UVA is the elephant in the room and the reason we believe it's so important to protect your skin all year round.

Do I need sun protection year round?

Skin damage is accumulative and occurs every single day. Damaging UV rays from the sun penetrate the skin as long as it's light outside. It has nothing to do with temperature. In particular, UVA represents 95% of all UV that reaches earth and it's potency is broadly unchanged during the year. UVA goes deep into the skin damaging proteins and DNA.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to the UK and Channel Islands using a Royal Mail tracked service and internationally using a selection of couriers (DPD, UPS, Fedex).

When will I get my order?

We try to get every order out the same day up until 4pm during the week. From then, please allow 2-3 business days for your order to arrive (UK) or up to 14 working days for international orders.

Who will be delivering my order and is there tracking?

We use a tracked service for nearly all of our deliveries. You will get an email from us when your order has been despatched which will include the tracking details.

What if I'm not in when my order is delivered?

The majority of our products fit through the average letter box. In the event your order doesn't, the courier will leave a card letting you know they tried to deliver and what the next step is (either your order was left in a safe place or it has been returned to your local sorting office where it can either be collected, or a redelivery booked).
